Riverview School is located in Dryden, in the northwestern corner of our large province of Ontario. Dryden is about
half way between the cities of Thunder Bay, Ontario and Winnipeg, Manitoba, about a 4 hour drive from either. Our part
of the world is in the Central Time Zone, which means that there is a one hour difference in time between Dryden and Thunder
Bay. Dryden is about a two day drive or about 2000 km west of the metropolitan city of Toronto.
Riverview School is found at 21 Davis St. just south of the city center and just east of the Wabigoon River. Hence our school name, RIVERVIEW. We would have a good view of the Wabigoon Riiver with out the houses and the trees which are between us and it.
To get to our school from outside Dryden, take either exit off the Trans Canada Highway, also known as Highway 17.
Coming into the city of Dryden from the east, drive over the railway overpass, and continue (west) along Duke Street to Van Horne Ave. At this set of traffic lights, Turn left (head south) and continue for about 5 blocks, to Davis Street. Turn to your right (head west) and past the first block, you will see Riverview School, at the bottom of the hill, on your left (south) side.
Coming from the west, follow the exit into the city, off the highway, through the subway under the railway. At the first corner, turn right (south) and follow this street, through the traffic lights, along the Wabigooon River, until you arrive at the front doors, of Riverview School. Turn left (east) and almost immediately, turn rigth (south) into our parking lot.
